  1. Enable the add-on from the in-app Marketplace.
  2. Connect Xero through Xero's secure sign-in — one time.
  3. Work as usual. New invoices and payments sync automatically; matched contacts stay tidy.

There's nothing to install and nothing to export. Once connected, the sync runs in the background — you keep quoting, invoicing and taking payments in LightCater, and Xero stays current on its own.

Turn it off anytime from the Marketplace; your LightCater records are never affected.

Which Xero plan does it work with?
The integration connects to your Xero organisation through a secure OAuth sign-in, and works with standard Xero plans. You link your account once.
What data syncs to Xero?
Customers, invoices (with line items, taxes and balances) and payments/deposits. Customers are matched to existing Xero contacts so you don't get duplicates, and each payment or deposit is applied to the right invoice.
Do I have to export files or re-key anything?
No. Once connected, the sync runs automatically in the background — there's no CSV export and no manual entry.
Is it included in my plan?
The Xero integration is an optional add-on you switch on from the in-app Marketplace, and you can turn it off anytime. See pricing for details.
Can I use QuickBooks instead?
Yes — LightCater offers a QuickBooks integration that works the same way.
